🎶 About Clarissa Altmann
Clarissa Altmann is a seasoned samba percussionist, educator, and performer with a deep passion for Rio-style batucada and over 20 years of musical experience.
Originally trained in classical music (flute, trumpet, piano), she discovered samba in 2001 and has since studied with top Brazilian mestres such as Ivo Meirelles (Mangueira), Átila Gomes (Vila Isabel), and Nilo Sergio (Portela).
Clarissa has paraded annually in the Rio Sambódromo since 2013, primarily with Portela, and has rehearsed with nearly every top-tier samba school in Rio. She’s the founder and director of BATURIM (Austria), tamborim leader in Bloco X, and co-Mestre in Bloco Coração, an international collaboration across Central Europe.
Her tamborim teaching is known for being clear, energetic, and technically sound — whether leading large workshops like the Drumpoint Festival in Slovakia or performing across Europe at samba festivals and carnivals.
Don’t miss this chance to dive deep into tamborim and connect with other sambistas from Oslo and beyond.
We can’t wait to see you in October!
